I know, I really shouldn't... but it feels like we're the only ones contributing to improving the town. I've checked the museum daily, it's just us two that's made any donations so far. Plus, we're the only ones supplying any bells for new structures in town...
I don't think any of them have jobs...
The Nooks do, the ones working Re-Tail have jobs, obviously Blathers, Booker, and Copper have jobs, and-

So instead of dad complaining, lemme tell you about our new friends! We've got a rabbit named Ruby, she's just a ball of sunshine, a freaking adorable squirrel named Marshal, a super nice ... uh... ostrich? bird? phoenix?? Well, her name's Phoebe, a fashion savvy elephant named Opal...
... There's uh. A frog named Prince. Which I'm pretty pleased about.
Another goat, named Chevre. We get along really well.
A wolf, Kyle. He... reminds me of another certain dog.
A horse, Buck. Energetic, sporty. Also familiar.
... Someone I can only describe a a ninja chicken. Ken's his name.
And... Coco.
Oh yeah, her. She's... a rabbit, right?

A bit... but uh, I gotta do her a favor. Looking for a ... *siiigh* a bee.

Ah, look on the bright side. At least as mayor/mayors you do not have to worry about all of the paper work that comes with such a thing.
